Its 4 Maggie

Add an excerpt to your posts to provide a summary for readers in many blog themes!

Maggie is our 13 (not far from 14)year old tripawd. She was 11 years old when we found out she had to have her leg removed because of osteosarcoma. We were very concerned about her age and being able to adjust with only 3 legs, but the doctors assured us she was a strong dog and would adjust fine. They were absolutely right about that! She can walk, run, jump and swim. We think she is amazing!

We started full time RVing in November 2014.  This lifestyle change has allowed us to be with Maggie 24/7.  This in itself has been PRICELESS.

  1. Ohhhhhhh! You guys we are teary-eyed here, this is so pawesome that you got on the road together! It’s also so reminiscent of our own journey with Jerry. We hit the road in our RV full-time after he was diagnosed with osteo, and he thrived and had a GREAT life for two beautiful years on the road with us! We hope with all our heart that Maggie gets to have a zillion fun adventures too.

Going on the road with Jer changed our lives for the better. Eight years later we are still rollin’ along with Wyatt Ray. Jerry showed us that cancer isn’t the end of the road, it’s just the start of many lessons that can change your life for the better if you open your heart. We know Maggie will teach you lots of life-changing lessons too.

If you haven’t already, check out Jerry’s story:

We would love to chat with you about RVing, pm us, let’s try to meet up somewhere. We are presently in Southern CA and will be here at least a few more weeks, then will start working our way up to Colorado for summer.

Keep blogging, we are looking forward to following along with your travels!

    1. I remember seeing your story on TV and how touching it was. When Maggie was diagnosed, I think we thought of your journey with Jerry. We had talked for the last 10 years about traveling in an RV full time. At some point it started to sink in to us, this was something we need to do now. We started to feel some sense of urgency about making it happen. To our surprise we had full support from nearly everyone. Even if they did think we were crazy, they kept it to themselves.

We so much appreciate your kind comments and encouraging words.

      1. Ohhhhh my gosh! I can’t believe you saw it. To think that you hit the road in the same way we did just made our DAY. Jerry is smiling down on all of us. Thank you! P.S. Watch your email from a message from me, I want to write about you guys for an article. xoxoxo Give Maggie some scritches from us!
